The Ace comes with a 1350mAh Li-Ion battery. The Ace runs Android 2.2 Froyo, Samsung's proprietary user interface and is also upgradable to Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.
Ace has heavy social network integration abilities and multimedia features. It also is preloaded with Google Trademark Mobile Apps. Firmware upgrade
From Aug 31, 2011, an update to Android 2.3.4 'Gingerbread' was rolled out for India.
Since then, the update to Android 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 has been rolled out in many other countries, first including Asian and European countries. Most of the time the update was made available after the carriers have updated their firmware customizations. Because of that, some users have not been able to update their phone's firmware yet as of October 8, 2011.
